New article for November 2017

We are pleased to share with our readers a new article guide on SharePoint backup:

If your company is using OneDrive for Business and/or SharePoint to store important data on the cloud, SyncBackPro V8 comes with the ability to back up your data to them. In this guide, you will learn how to setup and configure a SharePoint profile as well as configure a SharePoint site/subsite path and document library.

Support and Updates for SyncBack V7 will end on 1st December 2017

To stay competitive in the software backup industry, we at 2BrightSparks work very hard to improve SyncBack with fixes for known bugs and additional features that we think are useful for our customers. As with every software company, older program versions will gradually get discontinued when newer versions are launched. With the release of SyncBack V8 back in June 2017, we will soon be officially ending technical support and product updates for SyncBack V7.

Existing SyncBack V7 customers who have purchased SyncBackSE or SyncBackPro on or after 1st January 2017 will be able to upgrade to V8 free of charge. However, if you purchased SyncBackSE/Pro before 1st January 2017, then there will be a small upgrade fee to use SyncBackSE/Pro V8. Please visit our Upgrade Checker Page to check if you are eligible for a free upgrade.

As stated in our upgrade policy, while we may advise licensees to upgrade to the latest version, it is an optional choice and there is no requirement to do so. SyncBackSE and SyncBackPro users of outdated versions (V5/6/7) can continue to use their versions indefinitely if they so wish. However, technical support and updates for version 7 will officially end on 1st Dec 2017.
