How do I backup multiple folders?

For example, if you wanted to backup the following folders:

  • C:\My Folder\My Documents\
  • C:\My Folder\My Music\
  • C:\My Folder\My Pictures\

You should set your source to C:\My Folder\ and the select those folders by clicking the Choose sub-directories and files button. If you do not want any new folders that are later created in C:\My Folder\ to be included then change the New Folders setting for C:\My Folder\ to Ignore new folders. If you also do not want any new files that are later created in C:\My Folder\ to be included then change the New Files setting for C:\My Folder\ to Ignore new files. For example:

You can use the options 'Ignore all new files and folders' or 'Include all new files and folders' to ignore or include new files/folders created in all expanded folders. You can select these options from the burger menu on the top left of 'Choose sub-directories and files' settings page.

If your folders are on different drives then see the following article:

Alternatively, create a profile for each drive. You can then create a group and put the profiles in the group. The group can then be run or scheduled to backup all those drives in one go.
