Configuring SyncBack Touch to connect to SBMS
Assuming you have SBMS installed, this section details the configuration steps required to connect SyncBack Touch to SBMS so it can verify SBT licenses before performing backup, restore or synchronization.
Configure SBMS hostname or I.P. address in SBT
You have to specify the SBMS hostname or I.P. address that SyncBack Touch has to connect to verify the license information before performing the backup, restore or synchronization.
installing SyncBack Touch on a Windows PC, you have to run SBT installer with a
command line parameter /SBMS_Hostname="hostname" to set the SBMS
hostname or I.P. address to which SyncBack Touch has to connect to.
Open a command prompt window (cmd.exe), go to the folder containing the SyncBack Touch installer file and enter:
Replace the “hostname” with the hostname or I.P. address of the SyncBack Management Service. Note that hostname must be wrapped in double-quotes.
If you have installed SyncBack Touch on a Windows PC without using the “SBMS_Hostname” command line parameter then you can enter the SBMS hostname or I.P. address from SyncBackPro's profile (provided you are able to connect to SyncBack Touch from SyncBackPro), which you can configure under:
Expert -> SyncBack Touch -> click on 'Configure' button -> and enter
the SBMS hostname or I.P. address information.
2. When you install SyncBack Touch on Android or macOS, you have to enter the SBMS hostname or I.P. address in the appropriate field in the SyncBack Touch App's settings page.
